FourWheel Wellness

Integrative bodywork for healing recovery and deep relaxation

About The Practitioner

About me and Mindful Massage:

I have long loved massage and been passionate about its ability to heal the body and soul. Since traveling to Thailand in 2006, and experiencing a lifestyle of massage there, I realized it is an ancient beloved practice in many cultures for a reason. I believe massage should be assessable and safe. Intentional touch, especially paired with mindful breathing and neuromuscular awareness, has the power to redirect sources of pain and discomfort in the body and the mind and enhances wellbeing in a profound way. Massage fosters a deep sense of transformation and unraveling of stuck patterns, pain signals, and long standing muscular patterns we all form during daily life or trauma. Massage can remind us of the profound interconnectedness that exists within the body and can assist the neuromuscular system in achieving an ongoing sense of deep relaxation and healing.

I became interested in pursuing massage as an alternative career path in 2018 after a decade in the non-profit sector focused on education and sustainable food. I took the opportunity to go back to school and earn a certificate in Massage Therapy from Trinidad State Junior College in a rural area in south central Colorado. I gained skills in the crossover between completing my yoga teacher training and offering deep tissue massage for farmers and friends in the area. Hence my LLC FourWheel Wellness was born. I moved to the four corners with my soon-to-be husband, and started teaching yoga alongside stating my own part-time massages practice just before the pandemic in late 2019. Moving to Oregon in 2020, I went on a bit of a professional hiatus after adopting our daughter and recently having had a baby this past fall. In the meantime I took courses at Central Oregon Community College and became licensed in Oregon. In addition to staying home full-time with my kids, I am now practicing massage at a shared clinic space in Bend, OR.

I specialize in deep tissue and deep relaxation work, partnering with my clients to gain relief from stress, tension, injury, pain, and general discomfort. I have an integrative approach, incorporating stretching techniques, essential oils, hot stones, cupping, and special accommodations for pregnancy. I enjoy continuing to learn the endless depths of anatomy and technique to relieve and deepen the experience in the human body.

My goal is to create a relaxing environment that serves as a healing space for clients as well as a sustainable set up for myself to be able to continue providing massage over the long term. I believe in the power of massage to assist in making incredible shifts in the body and mind and am grateful to engage in this work that promotes.  holistic health and optimal wellbeing.
